Narrow aisle forklifts function by increasing the ratio of the storage space to the width of the aisle. Yale features the single reach NR and the double reach NDR models for aisle widths of eight to ten feet. The Narrow Aisle trucks made by Yale utilize best-in-class ergonomics and provide a Quadra-Flexx Operator Compartment which has various control handle and stance configurations.
NDR & NR Productivity Enhancements
Quadra-Flexx Operator Compartment: To be able to meet a wider variety of operations, there are many control handle configurations like the choice of fore, the aft stance, and the side-stance options.
AC Motor Technology: The AC motor technology offers fast lifting speeds along with powerful acceleration and deceleration. It has been designed for quick plugging so as to facilitate more responsive directional changes that combine to increase the amount of loads transported during a shift.
Reach & Mast Assembly: The trunion mounting and tapered roller bearings are part of the mast reach assembly. This increases the mast durability and rigidity; along with the gusseted rear frame weldment, and the reach assembly carriage that are reinforced for long life.
Power Lowering: Yale offers industry leading lowering speeds and these uploaded speeds greatly enhance the overall throughput and productivity.
Regenerative Lowering: Though regenerative lowering could reduce battery changes per shift it also functions to maintain a lower oil operating temperature.
Electronic Steering: The electronic steering eliminates the need for hydraulic pumps and thus really reduces energy. The operator could adjust the steering tiller and the technician can adjust the steer effort so as to decrease operator exhaustion. In the start-up process, drive tire centers start automatically.
Order Selectors: Order pickers are also called narrow aisle and very narrow aisle trucks. These equipment are made for the manual handling of racked loads which are smaller than pallet size. These order selectors raise both the cargo and the operator to its required height. This height can be more than 30 feet. Like the majority of turret trucks they are generally rail or wire guided when used in very narrow aisle applications.
