In order to be a successful unit, a forklift has to be strong enough to last in all working environments for many hours of use. It should be able to move loads quickly and effectively too. The equipment should be both comfortable and ergonomically correct for the operator too.
Yale's powertrain is both rugged and dependable. The powertrain needs the power to always provide great strength through its computer-managed transmission and engine. It offers state-of-the-art clutch packs along with robust gears and extremely tough shafts. The transmission, engine, steer axle and drive are all isolated to decrease vibration and noise inside the compartment of the operator.
GM & Mazda LP & Gas Engines:
Mazda's LP engine and GM's gas engines use cast iron blocks to promote long life. These types of equipment provide an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system which needs minimal repair or adjustment. These engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats which reduce wear.
Yanmar and Cummins Diesel Engines:
Both the Yanmar and Cummins diesel engine offer a higher compression ratio leading to improved torque. Incredible fuel consumption is provided by effective fuel systems.
Standard Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The regular Electronic Powershift Transmission features gears that are 15 percent stronger and shafts that maximize resistance to rough driving. The durable clutch packs offer 3 times the life of preceding packs. Lastly, there is electronic inching available which automatically adjusts so as to reduce maintenance needs by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
This transmission system utilizes a computer-controlled power reversal which minimizes shock loading, increases durability and extends tire life. Furthermore, the auto deceleration feature reduces break pedal usage and break wear.
Drive Axle:
Made for added strength, the drive axle features its brake drum mounting, full floating axle shaft and the strong ring and pinion gears. This part also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes that are completely sealed against contamination and basically maintenance free.
Steer Axle:
The Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design to protect the steer cylinder from debris and damage. It has fixed-length tie rods to add extra stability and durability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist front to back and side-to-side forces. In addition, cast ductile iron axle increases toughness and reduces wear.
Yale had made a lot of safety features and ergonomic features part of their regular packages. These kinds of machinery will handle tough settings, while keeping the operator both safe and comfortable for the duration of their shift.
