Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklifts offer versatility and height. These models are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck. The crane, or arm, is called a telescopic boom. The boom allows the person using it to maintain a high degree of control while lifting the load to great heights. Regular lift trucks aren't able to move the cargo away from and towards the forklift cab, whereas a telescopic forklift could allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is normally utilized in construction and agriculture. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is required.
In situations needing high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments known as forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which allow the operator to utilize uniform clamping force when lifting a cargo. It is available with a backrest which protects the cargo from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is used for storing systems that don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This type of system is handy for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A man basket is a lift platform meant particularly to raise workers. The basket attaches to the forklift forks, held in with a strap or chain that is to be directly secured to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the employees from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the worker's safety harness.
