CareLift Equipment has been engineering and building quality rough terrain forklifts ever since 1962. Every day the company strives to help their consumers reach their goals and deliver value because they know the bottom line is dependability and performance.
There are 2 general types of boom lifts. These units are articulated boom lifts and straight boom lifts. Usually, these units are powered hydraulically. Most commonly straight booms are the ideal alternative for tasks that require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machine can rotate three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom can be vertically raised to below horizontal. As the operator is able to steer and maneuver the vehicle whilst the boom is fully extended, it is a really versatile equipment. These models are available in diesel, propane or gas configurations as well as 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive.
Articulated boom lifts are utilized for lifting cargo up and over obstacles and gain access to areas which were otherwise unaccessible. These lift units perform tasks which straight telescopic booms cannot complete. These lifts are almost identical to the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a range of different directions allowing it to move around any objects easily in the work site.
To be able to maintain stability while the boom lift is fully extended, several heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Correct training is required prior to utilizing boom lifts in order to guarantee the jobsite, the operator and everybody working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable jobs that used to require many more man hours to be carried out in a much shorter time period. These machinery have revolutionized the material handling industry and have greatly increased production.
